About The Role

As a Field Engineer specialized in Databricks Strategic Built on Partners, you will be the technical expert supporting strategic partners building customer-facing products on the Databricks platform. You will provide technical leadership in solution architecture, enablement, and evaluation, helping partners design, deploy, and optimize scalable data and AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner Technical Leadership for Built on strategic partners
  • Develop and optimize well-architected frameworks for Databricks workloads
  • Guide solution design and integration for data, AI, and engineering efforts
  • Deliver technical enablement, training and workshops
  • Lead proof of concept execution and technical escalation management
  • Build trust-based relationships with partner teams and internal stakeholders
  • Represent Databricks in strategic meetings and technical events
  • Develop best practice guides and reusable frameworks
  • Continuously update on data and AI trends

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in field engineering, solution architecture, or partner-facing roles
  • Hands-on expertise with Databricks, Spark and data/AI platforms
  • Proficiency in cloud-native architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP), Python and/or Scala
  • Experience in managing technical relationships and executing projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in conducting technical workshops and enablement sessions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ISV solutions or SaaS platforms
  • Knowledge of ML/AI frameworks, data governance, and security in cloud environments
  • Experience driving go-to-market initiatives with strategic partners
  • Open-source contributions in data and AI technologies

Compensation

The pay range for this role spans from $228,800 to $320,300 USD, with full compensation consideration based on experience and location factors. Additional components may include performance bonuses, equity, and benefits.
