Job Description
The Role
As a Director of Delivery Solution Architects at Databricks, you will lead a high-impact team of technical success leaders for Retail, Consumer Goods, and Travel & Hospitality customers. Your mission is to ensure that complex Data and AI initiatives move from concept to production efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Development: Recruit, coach, and scale a diverse and high-performing team.
- Post-Sales Strategy: Define and monitor execution for the Retail vertical with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Professional Services.
- Technical Excellence: Keep the team at the forefront of Retail Data+AI trends including Data Lakehouse architecture, real-time analytics, and ML.
- Operational Excellence: Develop internal playbooks, monitor customer health and project progress, and manage hiring pipelines.
- Executive Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to CTOs and CDOs, guiding strategic data decisions.
- Issue Resolution: Work cross-functionally to remove technical blockers and ensure smooth project delivery.
What We Look For
Candidates should have 7+ years of customer-facing technical experience with 3+ years in leadership roles. Deep expertise in cloud technologies, data engineering, data warehousing, and AI/ML is required along with sound Retail industry knowledge. Proven success in production-grade data deployments and strategic customer engagement is essential.
