About the Visual Web Designer Role at DataAnnotation
We are seeking a talented Visual Web Designer to contribute to the training and improvement of cutting-edge AI models. In this role, you will assess and enhance how AI systems comprehend, generate, and evaluate design work, encompassing interfaces, layouts, visuals, and overall user experiences.
Leveraging your extensive design expertise, you will critically evaluate AI outputs, provide detailed feedback, and actively refine the model's understanding of aesthetics, usability, and creative quality. Your valuable insights will directly influence the development of the next generation of AI tools tailored to support designers.
This position represents a new and expanding focus area for DataAnnotation, dedicated to teaching AI to better grasp visual and design principles. Initially, successful candidates will complete a general core assessment, followed by a specific qualification for Web & UI/UX Design. Upon approval, you will gain access to general AI training projects and be invited to participate in specialized design-focused projects. These projects typically involve UI/UX critique, product visual development, and comprehensive aesthetic evaluations, including presentations and various creative deliverables.

- Compensation for general AI training projects begins at $20+ USD/hr, while design-focused projects start at $40+ USD/hr, with opportunities for bonuses based on exceptional performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and provide insightful critiques of AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and various visual assets.
- Rigorously evaluate the quality, correctness, and performance of outputs produced by AI models.
- Actively contribute to training AI models to cultivate a superior understanding of aesthetic quality and user-centered design principles.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English at a native or bilingual proficiency level is essential.
- A strong background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and user flow.
- Excellent command of grammar, stylistic nuances, and brand voice.
- While a current, in-progress, or completed Bachelor's degree is preferred, it is not strictly required.

Payment for this independent contract position is processed via PayPal. DataAnnotation will never request any money from applicants. PayPal manages all currency conversions from USD. Please note: Only applicants residing in Canada will be considered for this role.
