About the Technical Consultant Role at DataAnnotation
DataAnnotation is dedicated to building high-quality AI. Join our team as a Technical Consultant and contribute to training AI chatbots, enjoying the flexibility of remote work and a self-determined schedule.
We are seeking analytical, detail-oriented small business owners, freelancers, and independent contractors to help teach AI chatbots. Your responsibilities will include developing complex prompts to test AI models, crafting high-quality responses to demonstrate excellence, and evaluating various model outputs against accuracy and style guidelines. This role is ideal for professionals who regularly manage business communications and are intrigued by the real-world applications of AI tools. No prior AI experience is required.
The application process involves an assessment. Upon passing, you will gain access to projects. Consistent high-quality work will lead to regular project assignments. Our most successful candidates typically work between 5-40 hours per week.

- Projects start at $20+ USD per hour, with a bonus rate of $28 per hour for exceptional quality work.

- Provide high-quality answers in response to specific prompts.
- Compare and contrast the performance of different AI models.
- Conduct thorough research and fact-checking for AI responses.
Qualifications We're Looking For
- Fluency in English is essential.
- A bachelor's degree (completed or currently in progress).
- Proven experience managing small business communications and/or self-employment.
- Exceptional writing and research capabilities.
- Strong fact-checking skills and the ability to work effectively independently.
Please Note: Payment will be processed via PayPal. DataAnnotation will never request money from you. PayPal manages all currency conversions from USD. This independent contract position is open only to applicants located in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.
