About the Role: Design System Specialist
We are seeking a Design System Specialist to contribute to the training and enhancement of advanced AI models. In this role, you will evaluate and improve how AI systems comprehend, generate, and assess design work, including user interfaces, layouts, visual elements, and overall user experiences.
Leveraging your extensive design expertise, you will critically evaluate AI-generated outputs, provide detailed feedback, and help refine the AI model's understanding of aesthetics, usability, and creative quality. Your valuable insights will directly influence the development of the next generation of AI tools designed to support creative professionals.
This is a burgeoning area for DataAnnotation, focused on teaching AI to grasp visual and design principles more effectively. To apply, candidates should first complete our general core assessment, followed by a specific qualification for Web & UI/UX Design. Upon approval, you will gain access to general AI training projects and be invited to participate in specialized design projects. These projects typically involve UI/UX critique, product visuals, and aesthetic evaluation of various creative deliverables, including presentations.
This is a flexible, independent contract position, available on a full-time or part-time basis.

- General AI training projects begin at $20+ USD/hr, with design-focused projects starting at $40+ USD/hr, plus potential bonuses for exceptional contributions.
Responsibilities
- Review and provide critical feedback on AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and visual assets.
- Assess the quality, correctness, and performance of outputs produced by AI models.
- Contribute to training models for an enhanced understanding of aesthetic quality and user-centered design principles.
Qualifications
- Native or bilingual fluency in English is required.
- A strong background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design.
- Demonstrated understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and user flow principles.
- Excellent command of grammar, stylistic consistency, and brand voice.
- A Bachelor's degree (current, in progress, or completed) is preferred but not mandatory.
