We are seeking a Design System Specialist to contribute to the training and improvement of cutting-edge AI models. In this role, you will assess and enhance how AI systems comprehend, generate, and evaluate design work, encompassing interfaces, layouts, visuals, and overall user experiences.

Leveraging your extensive design expertise, you will evaluate AI outputs, provide detailed, constructive feedback, and play a crucial role in refining the model’s understanding of aesthetics, usability, and creative quality. Your valuable insights will directly influence the development and capabilities of the next generation of AI tools designed to support designers.

This is an exciting, new, and rapidly expanding area for DataAnnotation, with a core focus on teaching AI to better understand intricate visual and design principles. To apply, prospective candidates should first complete our general core assessment, followed by a specific qualification for Web & UI/UX Design. Upon successful approval, you will gain access to a variety of general AI training projects and will also be invited to participate in specialized design-specific projects. These projects delve into critical areas such as UI/UX critique, product visuals, and in-depth aesthetic evaluation, including presentations and various creative deliverables.

• General AI training projects commence at $20+ USD/hr, while specialized design-focused projects offer a starting rate of $40+ USD/hr, with additional bonuses for outstanding contributions.

Key Responsibilities for a Design System Specialist

• Review, analyze, and provide critical feedback on AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and various visual assets.
• Rigorously evaluate the quality of outputs produced by AI models, ensuring correctness and optimal performance.
• Actively contribute to training models to cultivate a superior understanding of aesthetic quality and user-centered design principles.

Qualifications We Are Looking For

• Fluency in English is essential (native or bilingual proficiency).
• A solid background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design.
• A strong, demonstrable understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and user flow.
• Excellent command of grammar, stylistic coherence, and adherence to brand voice.
• A current, in-progress, or completed Bachelor's degree is preferred, though not strictly required.
