About the Design Strategist Role at DataAnnotation
We are seeking a Design Strategist to play a crucial role in training and enhancing cutting-edge AI models. In this position, you will assess and improve how AI systems comprehend, generate, and evaluate various design outputs, including interfaces, layouts, visuals, and overall user experiences.
Leveraging your extensive design expertise, you will be responsible for evaluating AI-generated content, providing precise and detailed feedback, and actively contributing to the refinement of the AI model's understanding of aesthetics, usability, and creative quality. Your direct input will be instrumental in shaping the future capabilities of AI tools designed to support and empower designers.
This is a new and rapidly developing area within DataAnnotation, specifically focused on instructing AI to grasp complex visual and design principles. Candidates should initially apply through our general core assessment, followed by a specific qualification for Web & UI/UX Design. Upon approval, you will gain access to general AI training projects and be invited to participate in specialized design-focused projects. These projects encompass areas such as UI/UX critique, product visuals, and aesthetic evaluation of presentations and other creative deliverables.

- General AI training projects begin at $20+ USD/hr, while design-focused projects start at $40+ USD/hr, with opportunities for bonuses for exceptional performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and provide critical feedback on AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and visual assets.
- Evaluate the quality, correctness, and performance of outputs produced by AI models.
- Actively contribute to training models to develop a superior understanding of aesthetic quality and user-centered design principles.
Qualifications We Are Looking For
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual proficiency is required).
- A strong background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design.
- Demonstrated understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and user flow principles.
- Excellent command of grammar, stylistic coherence, and brand voice.
- A current, in-progress, or completed Bachelor's degree is preferred but not strictly required.
Note: Payment is processed via PayPal. DataAnnotation will never request money from you. PayPal manages all currency conversions from USD. This is an independent contract position. Only applicants in Canada will be considered for this role.
