About the Role: AI Design Specialist
We are seeking an AI Design Specialist to contribute to the training and refinement of cutting-edge AI models. In this role, you will critically assess and enhance how AI systems comprehend, generate, and evaluate various design elements, including user interfaces, layouts, visual aesthetics, and overall user experiences.
Leveraging your extensive design expertise, you will evaluate AI-generated outputs, provide detailed, actionable feedback, and guide the model's development in areas such as aesthetics, usability, and creative quality. Your unique insights will be instrumental in shaping the next generation of AI tools designed to support and empower designers.
This is an exciting and expanding frontier for DataAnnotation, with a core focus on teaching AI to internalize visual and design principles. Candidates should initially apply through our general core assessment and then complete a specific qualification for Web & UI/UX Design. Upon approval, you will gain access to a variety of general AI training projects and will also be invited to specialized design-focused projects. These projects span areas like UI/UX critique, product visual evaluation, and aesthetic assessment of creative deliverables and presentations.

- General AI training projects start at $20+ USD/hr, while specialized design-focused projects offer a competitive starting rate of $40+ USD/hr, with opportunities for bonuses based on exceptional performance.
Responsibilities
- Review and provide expert critique on AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and various visual assets.
- Rigorously evaluate the quality, correctness, and performance of outputs produced by AI models.
- Actively contribute to training models for a deeper understanding of aesthetic quality and principles of user-centered design.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated fluency in English (native or bilingual proficiency is required).
- A strong background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design.
- Profound understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and user flow principles.
- Exceptional command of grammar, stylistic coherence, and the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice.
- While a current, in-progress, or completed Bachelor's degree is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement.
