Data Engineer Contractor (Python Pandas)
We are looking for a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Belfast working with a tier 1 multinational investment bank. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys both BAU and project-based initiatives, and has a strong background in Python, ideally within the FX domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain core data pipelines supporting FX BAU and enhancement projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data solutions
- Contribute to both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations
- Work independently and as part of a team managing multiple priorities
- Engage with Front Office stakeholders and datasets, particularly within FICC asset classes
Qualifications & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in Python with clean, efficient, scalable code
- Strong knowledge of Pandas for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience across the full SDLC including Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with unit testing and debugging Python applications
