About Data Detective
Data Detective is a full-stack data agency that assists marketing teams in SMEs and mid-market companies (e-commerce, SaaS) with leveraging their data. Our promise: transform scattered data into concrete tools that enable decision-making in 15 minutes instead of 4 hours.
We intervene across the entire chain: audit and tracking setup (GTM, GA4, Server-Side), data collection and centralization (BigQuery, Supermetrics, Airbyte), marketing dashboards (Looker Studio), and strategic analysis.
The agency is in a structuring phase. Currently, the founder manages sales, production, and processes. The goal is clear: recruit a trusted operational partner to free up time for agency development.
The Role: Data Analyst
We are looking for an experienced freelance Data Analyst to take charge of the operational part of the agency. You will be the founder's right-hand on production: managing client missions from A to Z, from the initial audit to the delivery of dashboards.
This is not a one-off mission. We are looking for a long-term partner who wants to invest in the development of an agency, with true autonomy on technical subjects.
Your Missions
- Tracking & Collection: Audit, setup, and maintenance of tagging plans (GTM, GA4). Server-side deployment. RGPD compliance (Consent Mode V2).
- Data & Dashboards: Data centralization (BigQuery, Google Sheets + Supermetrics, Airbyte). Creation and maintenance of marketing dashboards on Looker Studio.
- Analysis: Ad hoc and recurring analyses for retainer clients. Strategic recommendations based on data.
- Client Relationship: Regular follow-up meetings, reporting, training client teams on delivered tools.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribution to structuring internal processes, documenting methods, automating repetitive tasks.
Candidate Profile
We are primarily looking for someone technically solid and autonomous. The ideal profile masters the following subjects:
- Advanced mastery of GTM (Web + Server-Side) and GA4
- Concrete experience in dataviz (Looker Studio, or equivalent)
- Ability to analyze marketing data (attribution, funnel, cohorts)
- Knowledge of BigQuery, SQL, and ideally Python or AppScript
- Understanding of RGPD / Compliance issues (CMP, Consent Mode)
- Autonomy, rigor, and ability to manage several clients in parallel
- Good communication – you know how to explain data to non-technical individuals
Technical Environment
This role involves working with a diverse set of tools, including:
- Tracking: GTM, GA4, Server-Side (Stape/Addingwell)
- CDP: Segment, Piano Analytics
- Data Warehouse: BigQuery, Google Sheets + Supermetrics, Airbyte
- Dashboards: Looker Studio
- Analysis / ETL: Python, AppScript, SQL
- Compliance: CMP, Consent Mode V2
- Project Management: Notion, Slack
Conditions
- Status: Freelance (micro-enterprise, portage, or company)
- Location: Full remote – no geographical constraint
- Volume: To be defined together according to your availability and workload
- Remuneration: Daily rate (TJM) to be discussed based on your experience and positioning
- Start: As soon as possible
- Commitment: Long-term collaboration desired
