Research Engineer - Image Analysis (F/H)

The "Lifesciences & Healthcare" organization at Dassault Systèmes is dedicated to continuous scientific and technological monitoring, as well as software prototyping to evaluate the applicability of new technologies and scientific knowledge. You will join the team as an Image Analysis Research Engineer.

This is a 10-month fixed-term contract position, based in Valbonne (06).

Your Missions:

This team is responsible for maintaining a high level of expertise in all technological, biological, and biomedical fields of the company, and for preparing potential diversifications and acquisitions.

Within the "Cell Therapy for Bioproduction" team, we focus on developing virtual twins of various biological processes using multi-type data. We have a collection of histological slide images, and we aim to develop machine learning and/or image processing tools to extract informative and representative metrics from this data.

As a Research Engineer in our team, you will contribute to achieving this challenge. You will begin by familiarizing yourself with the domain, available data, and existing tools through a literature review. Then, using existing tools, you will build and implement a complete image analysis pipeline.

Your Qualifications:

• You hold a BAC+5 level degree (Master's degree or equivalent) with a specialization in Applied Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, and Data.
• You have a strong interest in applying your skills to the life sciences and medical fields.
• You possess a marked interest in applications within the life sciences and medical domains.
• Proficiency in Machine Learning and AI concepts.
• Excellent programming skills in Python and its libraries (familiarity with pandas, scikit-image, numpy, scipy, PIL, OpenCV, tensorflow, keras, pytorch is required).
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
