Job Summary
The Office Manager at Dallas Independent School District supports the Principal and manages daily campus operations. This role involves a variety of administrative and secretarial duties to ensure the smooth functioning of the school office.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform secretarial functions for the Principal, including drafting communications and managing calendars.
- Coordinate district-level information and manage office helper schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for staff, students, parents, and community regarding campus operations.
- Manage attendance records, including daily, bi-weekly, and supplemental records.
- Oversee supplemental pay activity requests and ensure policy adherence.
- Monitor and adjust budget line items using Budget Manager Reports.
- Manage requisitions, verification of funding, and reconciliation processes.
- Maintain all expenditure documents for grants and Activity Funds.
- Manage the reconciliation of Activity Funds, including entering receipts, balancing statements, and preparing deposits.
- Attend all required administrative meetings and trainings.
- Maintain adequate office supplies and materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Work Environment
The work environment is typically moderately noisy. Travel throughout the district is an integral part of the job. This is a campus-based position, and remote work is not an option due to the essential job duties requiring regular and punctual attendance at the worksite.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and three years of related clerical/secretarial experience, OR an Associate’s Degree in a business-related area.
