Senior Administrative Assistant
Dallas College is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Administrative Assistant to provide advanced administrative support to staff, faculty, and students. This role is crucial in maintaining official college records and executing administrative policies according to Dallas College guidelines.Key Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality and stay updated on organizational changes.
- Foster a positive, professional, and service-oriented work environment that supports diversity and the mission of Dallas College.
- Uphold high standards for quality of work with a fast pace, flexibility, confidentiality, and attention to detail, requiring a limited degree of supervision.
- Attend meetings, record minutes, track decisions, identify action items, and ensure follow-ups are completed.
- Manage scheduling, travel arrangements, calendars, and expense reports. Compose correspondence as needed.
- Serve as an informal resource and mentor for colleagues with less experience.
- Coordinate various administrative duties and collaborate across all organizational levels to achieve departmental and college-wide goals.
- Represent management on committees and/or councils.
- Monitor budgets and potentially supervise assigned personnel.
- Facilitate solutions with internal and external stakeholders within the delegated authority.
- Provide general administrative support to senior directors and/or executives, including daily office management and execution of processes, tasks, policies, and procedures.
- Assist faculty, staff, and students with tasks such as contract preparation, supply ordering, procurement processes, class schedule development, room assignments, and report preparation.
- Engage in professional development to enhance job knowledge and stay current with trends and technology.
- Effectively communicate and follow up with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them informed of events and commitments.
- Act as a liaison and primary resource for faculty, staff, and/or students regarding department information, services, and processes, including research, analysis, and summarization of data.
- Undertake projects and use sound judgment in preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Complete required Dallas College Professional Development training hours annually.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Minimum Knowledge And Experience
- Associate degree plus three (3) years of administrative/clerical work experience, OR five (5) years of equivalent administrative/clerical work experience.

- Bilingual or multilingual skills are preferred.
- Subject to a criminal background check and potentially a fingerprint check.
