This role is part of the Finance/Accounting team at Daktronics, serving stakeholders including employees, customers, vendors, shareholders, and the community. Our focus is on being trusted advisors and supporting compliance, risk management, operational excellence, and team development.
Role Overview
As an Accountant – Financial Analysis, you will support financial reporting, perform variance analysis, prepare financial reports and management summaries, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with partners to turn financial data into meaningful insights. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing financial reports, analyses, and management summaries.
- Performing variance analysis and identifying trends in results.
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Assisting with month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Analyzing financial data for business decisions and ad hoc requests.
- Collaborating with Accounting and Finance partners to ensure data accuracy.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business is preferred along with 1-3 years of relevant experience. Key skills include strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with ERP or financial reporting systems and data visualization tools. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
Location & Pay
This role offers the flexibility to work from a U.S. home or a Daktronics location and is open to U.S. based candidates. The typical hiring range is between 62,000 to 82,000 USD annually, with the actual offer reflecting various factors such as education, experience, and location.
