Position Overview

Daisy Communications is looking for a passionate and technically astute Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure across internal and externally hosted systems. The role requires strong experience in IT security, networking, and cloud platforms (AWS and Microsoft Azure).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and implement a Daisy standalone IT infrastructure.
  • Design, support, and optimize physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with external networking and support teams.
  • Install and configure servers, hardware, services, and storage.
  • Research innovative, automated approaches to system administration.
  • Document server procedures for design and implementation.
  • Monitor system availability and integrity.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the deskside support team.
  • Mentor junior IT team members.
  • Act on Cyber Security Alerts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven record in integration, separation projects, and project planning.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, VMware/Hyper-V, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and GPO.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server (2012r2 to 2022), Backup Tools, and system administration.
  • Cloud experience with AWS and Azure plus Cyber Security knowledge.
  • Advantageous skills: System Centre Suite, CASB/DLP, ZTNA, SAN Storage, Linux, CyberArk, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps.

Additional Information & Benefits

  • Office based in Sheffield.
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday (8:30 - 17:00 or 9:00 - 17:30).
  • Travel required with a personal vehicle to Data Centres.
