Original Job Summary
General Purpose
Perform a variety of duties in loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform any combination of receiving, storing, and distributing tasks to assist in the distribution of product.
- Pull and stack product based on daily orders.
- Meet specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
- Maintain products separated, organized, and in proper rotation.
- Support preventative maintenance plans.
- Monitor product quality and report issues to mitigate safety risks.
- Complete production and quality logs.
- Furnish accurate counts on load tags.
- Ensure paperwork is clear, legible, and properly completed.
- Document all required information according to SOPs.
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities using a continuous improvement mindset.
- Report any food safety and quality issues immediately.
- Maintain safe working conditions compliant with state and federal regulations.
- Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) aligned with corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred; warehouse, production, or general work experience is a plus. Certification and/or License may be required during employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Able to work effectively in a team; legibly write record entries; use company computer systems; work in a fast-paced environment; communicate clearly both verbally and in writing; follow directions; perform basic arithmetic; and read, write, and speak English.
