Join Custom Engineering – Documentation Team!

We’re now accepting applications for a number of summer job opportunities at our site in Uppsala during the summer of 2026. We’re looking for 1 summer worker to join our Documentation Team within Custom Engineering to assist in developing AI-based tools that improve efficiency and quality in our documentation processes. At Custom Engineering Documentation, we create and maintain technical documentation for complex systems, ensuring compliance, accuracy and traceability. Our focus areas include documentation quality, process improvement, metadata management, and enabling efficient collaboration across engineering and quality.

As a summer worker with us, you’ll get the opportunity to develop AI prototypes, automate manual documentation tasks, and help build new digital capabilities for the team.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop AI-based prototypes to support documentation workflows (e.g., text generation, document summarization, metadata extraction).
  • Automate manual or repetitive documentation tasks, based on our mapped processes and pain points.
  • Build small tools or scripts that improve document structure, quality checks, or navigation between systems.
  • Collaborate with documentation specialists to understand their workflows and translate needs into functional solutions.
  • Test, iterate and document the solutions to ensure usability and long-term value.
  • Use AI to analyse quality data and identify key trends and improvement areas.

Who You Are

  • Ongoing studies within computer science, software engineering, machine learning, information technology, or similar.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML, automation, or natural language processing is a plus.
  • Experience working with Python, Copilot Studio, prompt engineering, or building small applications is a plus.
  • You communicate fluently in English.
  • As a summer worker at Cytiva, it is required that you are at least 18 years of age and have a valid work permit.
