Location

Remote PST preferred. Must be flexible to work with the team on EST.

The Role

In this six-month contract, you’ll audit current and pre-launch UI to extract content patterns, terminology, and style rules. Working closely with other content designers, you’ll help build a cohesive content design system for Games. You’ll identify misalignments and gaps, outline the work needed to address them, and collaborate with a contract terminologist to ensure consistency. As the system evolves, you’ll define a governance model—leveraging automation or AI—to keep it current and continuously improving. Your work will help establish scalable, reusable content standards across our games.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze and document UI content patterns, terminology, and style conventions.
• Identify gaps and outline actionable plans to address them.
• Architect and refine a unified content design system for the Games ecosystem.
• Proactively seek feedback from stakeholders and iterate on solutions.
• Partner with a contract terminologist to align on terms and naming conventions.
• Develop a governance strategy to maintain and evolve the system.

You’re passionate about building and maintaining content style guides and pattern libraries that empower teams to create consistent, user-friendly experiences. You delight in establishing clear standards and frameworks that make language choices intuitive and scalable. You have a knack for distilling complex concepts into accessible guidance, and you thrive on bringing order and clarity to every aspect of content design.

Your Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience writing UI content.
• Experience building style guidance and pattern libraries.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to flex across Pacific & Eastern Time hours.
• Please provide a writing portfolio or relevant samples. This is a contract position reporting to the Content Design Manager for Games.
