Job Description

Key Responsibilities

As a Security Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding our digital assets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor Systems and Detect Threats: Continuously monitor network activity, identify potential threats, and respond to security incidents in real time. Utilize advanced security tools to analyze suspicious activity and ensure infrastructure protection.
  • Conduct Security Audits and Vulnerability Assessments: Regularly perform audits of systems and applications for compliance with security policies. Run vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses before exploitation.
  • Respond to Security Incidents: Lead investigations in the event of a breach, quickly identifying the cause, containing the threat, and developing preventative strategies.
  • Collaborate on Security Solutions: Work with IT and development teams to design and implement solutions that enhance security across networks, databases, and applications, ensuring security is built-in from the ground up.
  • Stay Updated on Emerging Threats: Stay current with the latest cybersecurity developments through training, conferences, and research to maintain up-to-date defenses.
  • Enforce Security Policies and Best Practices: Design, implement, and enforce security policies, educating staff on data protection and effective security tool usage.

What You Bring

We are looking for a Security Analyst with a robust skill set, including:

  • Experience with Security Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in SIEM solutions, IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption technologies, endpoint security, and other tools for risk identification and mitigation.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to think critically, identify patterns in network traffic and security alerts, and pinpoint potential threats.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Frameworks: Familiarity with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and GDPR for compliance and best practices.
  • Incident Response Experience: Hands-on experience in responding to and investigating security incidents, including malware analysis, log analysis, and forensic investigations.
  • Proactive Approach: Actively seeks vulnerabilities, anticipates threats, and develops preventative solutions.
  • Certifications: Highly regarded certifications include CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GIAC or similar.
