Remote Staff Software Engineer

About the Role

As a Remote Staff Software Engineer, you will partner with experienced Rails developers, implement core functionalities, and prototype/ship AI features using LLMs and APIs. You will make significant architectural decisions, build and maintain full-stack components, and collaborate closely with technical product teams to create user-centric features. Our engineering team is distributed across the country, fostering a remote-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

Implement core functionalities using Ruby on Rails.
Prototype, ship, and launch AI features using LLMs and APIs.
Build and deploy integrations to expand CRM functionality.
Make architectural decisions for the next generation of our tech stack.
Build and maintain components in React and TypeScript.
Collaborate with technical product teams on custom user experiences.

Requirements

Proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
Experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, IAM, VPC, S3).
Experience with React.
Experience developing full-stack applications with agentic AI.
Interest in AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, V0, or Replit.
