You will collaborate with senior engineers to translate rainfall-runoff data and regulatory requirements into practical, buildable designs and comprehensive technical reports for land development and public infrastructure projects.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Designing storm drain systems, open-channel and closed-conduit hydraulics, and surface hydrology solutions.
  • Running rainfall-runoff simulations and 1D/2D hydraulic modeling.
  • Supporting drainage and flood control design for land development and public infrastructure projects.
  • Preparing technical reports, calculations, and documentation for clients and agencies.
  • Assisting with master drainage plans, flood studies, and project coordination.

What You Need For This Job

  • 3 to 7 years of civil engineering experience focused on storm drainage, flood control, and hydrology/hydraulics in California.
  • BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • An active California PE license.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D). Exposure to SWMM, XPStorm, Innovyze, or WaterCAD is a plus.
  • Strong technical writing, communication skills, and ability to coordinate with agencies and clients.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
