Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for a Cybersecurity Mentor Intern, SOC Trainer. The intern will assist with mentoring cybersecurity learners, delivering Security Operations Center (SOC) training, preparing educational materials, and providing guidance and support to participants. Responsibilities also include performing research on cybersecurity trends, simulating cybersecurity scenarios, and supporting learning activities. Collaboration with the team to develop and refine training programs to provide a collaborative and effective learning experience will also be a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including knowledge of areas such as data security, SOC operations, incident response, and threat analysis.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills to guide learners effectively and explain cybersecurity concepts simply and clearly.
- Experience with tools and techniques used in cybersecurity, such as network monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and intrusion detection systems.
- Proficiency in research and problem-solving to stay updated on trends and assist in troubleshooting in a virtual environment.
- Familiarity with teaching, training, or content development related to cybersecurity education is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup while collaborating with team members and learners as needed.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), are a plus.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an academic program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
