What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Perform network monitoring and intrusion detection using defense tools such as IDS/IPS and firewalls
- Utilize Elastic SIEM for event correlation and identifying indicators of compromise
- Implement and enhance log-based and endpoint-based detection strategies
- Analyze alerts from SIEM and other security sensors, documenting incidents with clear technical reporting
- Provide customer training on SIEM usage and security best practices
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum of 2 years of cybersecurity experience
- Proficiency in Elastic SIEM, including monitoring, detection, and investigation
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including network protocols and vulnerabilities
- Experience with scripting/automation using Python or PowerShell
- Must possess and maintain a U.S. Passport and a Secret clearance, at minimum
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Familiarity with Kibana and Logstash/ingest pipelines
- Experience creating and tuning SIEM rules, signatures, and dashboards
- Strong analytical skills for identifying patterns and anomalies across multiple data sources
- Willingness to support domestic or international travel for short engagements
