Your Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute County-wide cybersecurity compliance activities and operational tasks.
  • Maintain constant vigilance over the integrity and security of County networks and associated components.
  • Perform continuous analysis to proactively identify network and system security vulnerabilities.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of critical information security policies.
  • Propose and recommend effective solutions to ensure full compliance with established security requirements.

What You'll Bring

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology, computer science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience providing analytical support, specifically in network and systems security.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid California or Nevada Driver's License.
  • A strong foundational understanding of cybersecurity practices and principles.
  • Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and managing incident response.

How to Excel (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Prior experience in crafting and implementing security policies and performing compliance audits.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing various security assessment tools and technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding colleagues in best cybersecurity practices.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation techniques to enhance security operations efficiency.
