Your Role as a Cybersecurity Analyst

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be instrumental in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents to protect an organization's digital assets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Actively monitoring and analyzing security events using various SIEM platforms.
  • Investigating security alerts and suspicious activities thoroughly.
  • Conducting threat modeling and supporting incident triage and escalation according to established protocols.
  • Assisting in incident response efforts by meticulously documenting findings and proposing effective remediation steps.
  • Performing continuous risk assessments and tracking identified risks alongside their mitigation plans.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and metrics to inform management about security posture and evolving risk trends.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

To succeed in this Cybersecurity Analyst role, you should possess a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and practices:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Gray Log, Zabbix, Splunk, or similar platforms.
  • A solid understanding of common cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria, and GDPR.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • The ability to conduct security investigations independently and collaborate effectively with both IT and business teams.
