What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Lead the engineering service for web application firewalls, designing and implementing solutions for various health system applications
  • Participate in the design and support of network segmentation and secure remote access solutions
  • Develop and document technical designs for system integration and implementation
  • Coordinate the development of comprehensive business cases for proposed projects, including cost and service dimensions
  • Analyze client business processes and functional requirements, preparing appropriate documentation for validation

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; Master's degree preferred
  • Ten years of related experience with in-depth knowledge of technology areas impacting healthcare
  • Required experience with web application firewalls; familiarity with Akamai or similar technologies recommended
  • Required experience with network segmentation and zero trust architectures; knowledge of Cisco ISE or Zscaler recommended
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with secure internet or web proxy solutions; familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls or Zscaler Internet Access recommended
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
  • Ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders to address significant architecture issues
