What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Receive and respond to prescription refill requests through various communication channels
- Verify the validity and accuracy of prescription refill requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Prepare and dispense prescription refills accurately and efficiently, following established protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Compile and analyze data to track key performance indicators related to prescription refill processing
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or as a Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologists
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or medical office environment
- Strong computer experience, including working with Electronic Medical Records or Electronic Health Records
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
