What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Operate and maintain Microsoft Sentinel for SIEM/SOAR with rule tuning and incident response.
• Monitor and respond to alerts from Defender for Cloud and security tools.
• Perform vulnerability scanning, remediation, and patch validation.
• Configure and maintain Azure Firewall and network security measures.
• Support compliance efforts for FedRAMP and HIPAA control validation.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, and Azure Firewall.
• Proven experience managing POA&M and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking and security policies.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, HIPAA, and NIST 800-53 frameworks.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview and security automation tools.
• Background in healthcare or federal security operations.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for automation.
• Additional certifications like CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCSP are a plus.
