Job Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from various security tools.
• Assist in the investigation of low-complexity security incidents under guidance.
• Document and track incident response actions and lessons learned.
• Perform routine vulnerability scans and remediation tracking.
• Maintain and organize security documentation for audits.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent certification and hands-on experience. Foundational knowledge of cloud computing, network, operating system, and application security principles are required. Familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, HIPAA, FERPA, and regulatory compliance is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+, CySA+, ISC2 CC/SSCP, or equivalent entry-level certification.
• Experience with log analysis, security operations, or compliance audits.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Interest in career development toward security operations, compliance, or threat analysis.
