Job Description

Data Analyst, Health Research

CVP is an award-winning healthcare and next-gen technology consulting firm recognized for excellence and innovation in the solutions we provide our clients across healthcare, national security, and the public sector. CVP seeks an experienced Data Analyst to join our growing Health Research and Technology team.

Responsibilities

  • Apply analytical methods to identify distributions, patterns, trends, and correlations/causality using behavioral health data (e.g., substance and opioid misuse outcomes, service capacity, performance indicators).
  • Extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple behavioral health data sources to support evaluation of the Health Resources and Services Administration's Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP).
  • Summarize analytical findings into detailed reports, data briefs, presentations, and factsheets.
  • Analyze complex data sets and communicate findings to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in public health, social sciences, public policy, or statistics.
  • Proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g., Python, R, SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience in conducting research and data analysis using quantitative methods to identify distributions, patterns, trends, and correlation/causality within the data.
  • Knowledge of qualitative data analysis techniques and mixed methods.
  • Experience with analyzing behavioral health and/or opioid-related datasets (e.g., HRSA datasets, CDC WONDER, hospital claims).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with survey programming (e.g., Alchemer, SurveyMonkey) is a plus.
  • Experience with proposal/grant writing is a plus.
