Assistant Project Manager at Cushman & Wakefield
As an Assistant Project Manager at Cushman & Wakefield, you will be instrumental in supporting the Project Manager to oversee and deliver Project & Development Services (PDS) that align with client requirements and goals.
You will perform daily general office tasks to support PDS practices and assist in gathering and maintaining current documentation for various projects. This includes coordinating with multiple PDS project managers to compile and update project reports, and obtaining and tracking budgeting and contracting information.
The role involves assisting with the management of all project phases, from planning and design to construction, FF&E, technology, and occupancy. You will be responsible for compiling project budgets and schedules, and interpreting project-defining documents such as agreements, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, budgets, schedules, and drawings.
A key aspect of this position is establishing and maintaining a strong client focus through performance goals, deliverables, reports, and value-added services. You will review design documents, scopes of construction, and create preliminary construction budgets. Additionally, you will prepare project status reports, process purchase orders, update tracking reports, and maintain due diligence and financial files.
You will also be involved in sourcing and managing local General Contractors, subcontractors, specialty vendors, architectural firms, and MEP engineers. Ensuring all project participants understand project goals, assumptions, constraints, and deliverables is crucial. Providing superior client service to both internal and external clients is paramount, and you may have full ownership and responsibility for smaller, less complex projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Ability to prepare and track overall project budgets and schedules.
- Experience leading and managing numerous facets of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with architectural/furniture and space planning concepts.
- Ability to develop and cultivate business relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Compensation is competitive and may vary based on factors such as geographic location, date of hire, total hours worked, job type, business line, and collective bargaining agreements. The compensation for this position ranges from $31.22 - $36.73 per hour, with the company committing to not pay less than minimum wage.
