Job Overview

The Expert Witness - Quantum at Currie & Brown will support dispute avoidance, management, and resolution services across the UK, focusing on quantum opinion and contractual advice. This role is ideal for a chartered quantity surveyor or engineer with deep experience in dispute services.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support quantum and contract advisory services, including analysis of contractual claims.
  • Draft concise opinions and produce CPR compliant expert reports.
  • Provide expert testimony in litigation and arbitration forums.
  • Manage commissions from instruction receipt to testimony, including financial management and P&L responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and lead project teams on larger commissions.
  • Contribute to business development through client meetings, seminars, and publications.

Candidate Profile

A chartered quantity surveyor or engineer with over 10 years of experience, holding a degree with MRICS or MCIArb qualification. Must possess a working knowledge of litigation, arbitration procedures and dispute resolution methods.
