Job Description

Field Service Technician - Cubic Transportation Systems

Join Cubic Transportation Systems, a global market leader with over 50 years of transportation experience. We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to maintain and repair Cubic equipment on Transport for London and National Rail infrastructure. This is a permanent day shift role with a 4x4 shift rotation, offering a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in automated fare collection and contactless payments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on Cubic equipment.
  • Respond quickly to repair equipment and follow established maintenance procedures.
  • Actively participate in training and embrace continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Minimize equipment downtime during fault callouts.
  • Assist with equipment installations.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety and quality standards.
  • Handle equipment module delivery and collections.
  • Support Management in lead project work.
  • Deputize for the Field Service Team Leader as required.
  • Conduct vehicle stock checks.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle and FORs accreditation.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in a technical service/maintenance environment.
  • Engineering qualification.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Clean driving license.

Desirable Experience:

  • HNC or equivalent in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with SLA-driven contracts.
