Job Description

Field Service Technician

Cubic Transportation Systems is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to join our growing UK team. As a global market leader with over 50 years of transportation experience, we offer a fantastic opportunity to maintain and repair Cubic equipment on Transport for London and National Rail infrastructure. You will be exposed to cutting-edge transportation technologies, including automated fare collection and contactless payments, while providing exemplary customer service. This is a permanent day shift role with a 4x4 shift rotation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out corrective and preventative maintenance on Cubic equipment.
  • Respond quickly to repair equipment and follow maintenance procedures.
  • Embrace training and continuous improvement.
  • Minimise downtime during fault callouts.
  • Assist with equipment installations.
  • Comply with Health and Safety and quality standards.
  • Handle equipment module delivery and collections.
  • Assist with Management lead project work.
  • Deputise for the Field Service Team Leader when appropriate.
  • Carry out vehicle stock checks.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle and FORs accreditation.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in a technical service/maintenance environment.
  • Engineering qualification.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Clean driving license.

Desirable:

  • HNC or equivalent in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with SLA-driven contracts.
