Position Overview

The Associate Director, Strategic Communications role supports day-to-day operations, ensures high-quality content delivery, and advances national and regional priorities. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, you will work with a skilled team to manage workflows, mentor staff, and help shape communication strategies.

What You Will Do

• Oversee communications team operations including workflows and deadlines.
• Manage editorial calendars, integrated marketing campaigns, and budgets.
• Support strategy development, media relations, and public engagement.
• Guide digital content creation across multiple channels.
• Act as the lead in the Director’s absence.

Project, Team and Strategic Support

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, streamline processes, and develop best practices. You will also contribute to advocacy campaigns and crisis communications planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years in communications/marketing with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven excellence in writing, editing, and leading multi-channel campaigns.
• Experience with digital tools like HubSpot, Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress, and social media schedulers.
• Ability to work hybrid with a reliable high-speed internet connection.

Compensation and Work Location
