As a Cloud Ops Engineer II at CSG, you will be instrumental in managing and supporting a large-scale cloud environment across AWS and Azure. This role involves critical responsibilities in account management, security compliance, and continuous improvement of cloud best practices. You will enhance in-house tools, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and collaborate closely with various teams to optimize observability and alerting. A key aspect of this role is automating operational tasks using scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code, along with participating in Agile and DevOps activities to maintain system performance and minimize downtime. You will also play a role in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to knowledge sharing within a global team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support over 350 AWS and Azure accounts/subscriptions, handling setup, configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Administer permissions and access controls to ensure strict compliance with organizational security policies.
• Implement and maintain cloud usage standards and frameworks, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Support and enhance an in-house tool for aggregating and presenting cloud account, usage, and permissions data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, deployment, and application issues across cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and architecture teams to improve observability, logging, and alerting.
• Automate operational tasks using Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance, optimize efficiency, and minimize downtime through proactive maintenance and incident response.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and DevOps activities, contributing to operational playbooks and SOPs.
• Implement CSG's Cloud Usage Framework via automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide production support as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience operating enterprise-grade applications in AWS and/or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps preferred), cloud-native application deployment, and automation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and monitoring principles.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and cloud management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English, capable of producing clear, concise technical documentation.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and support production environments.
• Self-motivated individual who thrives in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS or Azure certifications.
• Experience with AWS Lambda (Python).
• Experience with API Integration.
• Knowledge of Containers.
• Experience supporting internal tools for cloud account management and reporting.
