About the Mechanic - Auto Diesel Forklift Technician Role

This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing Crown and other makes of lift trucks, performing scheduled maintenance, maintaining service vans and inventory, and processing paperwork after each job.

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair various lift trucks.
  • Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
  • Maintain service van and inventory of tools.
  • Process paperwork upon job completion.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Less than 2 years of related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to operate lift trucks safely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Technical degree and previous lift truck repair experience preferred.
  • Experience with tools including hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, and arc welder.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
