Job Responsibilities
As an Industrial Design Co-Op, you will work under the guidance of Industrial Designers to conceptualize and develop new and innovative products and solutions. Tasks include:
- Research: Document user needs, product requirements, competitive products and industry trends via field research and analysis.
- Conceptual Design: Create sketches, renderings, models, layouts, and test bucks to convey design intent and resolve basic ergonomics.
- Design Development & Support: Develop 3-dimensional CAD models, validate designs with prototypes, and collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Miscellaneous: Support project documentation, product photography, design competitions and additional assigned tasks.
Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Industrial Design. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required along with strong analytical problem solving and judgement. Reliable transportation is needed to travel locally between company locations.
