This role requires hands-on experience in supporting regulated entities throughout the entire lifecycle of digital-asset initiatives, from initial concept and regulatory engagement to implementation, operation, and examination. You will operate at the crucial intersection of regulatory credibility, operational execution, and emerging technology, playing a central role in advancing Crowe’s financial services franchise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex consulting engagements focused on stablecoin issuance, tokenized deposits, custody, settlement, and blockchain-enabled payments.
- Advise clients on the comprehensive design and successful launch of stablecoin programs, including governance models, robust reserve management, stringent issuance/redemption controls, and clear disclosures.
- Design and implement enterprise, operational, and technology risk management frameworks specifically tailored for blockchain-based financial products.
- Effectively translate complex regulatory expectations from bodies like the OCC, Federal Reserve, state regulators, and relevant global regulators into practical, defensible operating models.
- Develop and implement comprehensive policies, procedures, control frameworks, RCSAs, and internal audit programs for all digital-asset activities.
- Provide crucial support during regulatory exams, respond to supervisory feedback, and lead remediation efforts related to digital assets and distributed ledger technology.
- Lead the selection, assessment, and seamless integration of third-party vendors, including custody providers, advanced blockchain analytics platforms, effective transaction monitoring tools, and secure wallet/key management solutions.
- Develop scalable toolkits, methodologies, and reference architectures to ensure repeatable, high-quality delivery across Crowe’s diverse practices.
- Serve as a recognized subject matter leader and mentor, actively contributing to internal capability development, thought leadership initiatives, and strategic go-to-market efforts.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience in professional services, banking, fintech, or other regulated financial institutions.
- Direct, hands-on experience supporting stablecoin issuance or tokenized asset initiatives, including significant involvement in product design, risk assessment, control implementation, or regulatory engagement.
- Demonstrated experience working proficiently with major blockchain protocols and ecosystems such as Ethereum, Solana, or comparable public or permissioned networks.
- Proven experience collaborating effectively with digital-asset custody providers and infrastructure vendors, encompassing support for due diligence, onboarding, operating model design, and ongoing risk oversight.
- Proven leadership in building, enhancing, or operating risk management, compliance, internal audit, or control functions within regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of financial services regulatory expectations and substantial experience interacting directly with regulators and examiners.
- Ability to translate complex blockchain and digital-asset concepts into clear, actionable risk, control, and governance implications for executive, board, and regulatory audiences.
Preferred Experience

- Prior involvement in regulatory approvals, charter applications, or supervisory remediation specifically related to digital assets.
- Experience developing or deploying risk, compliance, or monitoring tools uniquely specific to blockchain and digital assets.
