CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is looking for a self-starting and detail-oriented Sr. Security Researcher - Data Ops Remote to join its Counter Adversary Operations team. This role focuses on collecting and analyzing cybercriminal underground data to protect customers and support proactive threat intelligence operations.

About the Role

As a Sr. Security Researcher - Data Ops Remote, you will complete technical collection projects, employ secure operational tradecraft methods, and conduct proactive research into underground cybercriminal economies. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across global teams, drive concurrent projects, and leverage advanced automation tools including machine learning, generative AI and LLMs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete technical collection projects using deep and dark web data.
  • Employ secure operational tradecraft and monitoring methods.
  • Conduct research on cybercriminal activities and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with global Counter Adversary Operations stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years in cyber threat intelligence, open source intelligence, or information security.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with data extraction and webscraping.
  • Expertise in data-driven investigations with visualization and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Docker, Git, automated pipelines and large datasets.
  • Familiarity with operational security (OPSEC) and statistical analysis methods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Language expertise (e.g., Russian, Mandarin, Korean, Spanish, etc.).
  • Background in intelligence community or cyber threat intelligence.
  • Engagement in the security community or open source software development.
  • Experience with network analysis techniques and log operationalization.
