About the Role
The Detections Content Release Engineer III is a hands-on, detail-oriented role responsible for managing the end-to-end release, triage, and observability of security detections in production. This position sits at the intersection of release operations, runtime health, and first-level anomaly investigation, ensuring detection efficacy and release stability at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Execute detection content deployments using internal tooling.
- Monitor telemetry and stage health to detect anomalies.
- Perform first-level triage on anomalous detection hits.
- Define rollback and alerting mechanisms for deployment issues.
- Create and maintain dashboards and playbooks for detection monitoring.
- Contribute feedback to improve detection efficacy during QA.
- Reduce operational friction through automation and tooling improvements.
- Create customer facing release notes and manage internal communications.
What You’ll Need
- Experience with threat detection platforms, SIEMs, or EDRs.
- Hands-on background in SRE, QA, or release engineering roles.
- Comfort with telemetry, logs, dashboards, and anomaly detection.
- Experience with executing or coordinating structured CI/CD releases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket.
- Problem solving with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Self-starter mentality and accountability for deliverables.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for detection engineering, threat analysis, or security research.
Bonus Points
- Experience analyzing big data to monitor software quality metrics.
- Experience building dashboards or telemetry pipelines.
- Prior security experience specific to always-on systems and endpoint threat detection.
- Experience with sensor development and version control tools.
