Technical Lead, LearnWith.AI (Remote)
We are seeking Technical Team Leads to ensure quality and timely delivery across our application-level products. In this role, you will guide a compact team of 3-5 engineers as they develop educational applications serving thousands of students.

- TeachTales: Customized, engaging storytelling designed to enhance reading comprehension
- TrashCat: Game-based learning platform making education entertaining and interactive
This position combines hands-on execution with team leadership: you will spend approximately 50% of your time building sophisticated features and 50% mentoring and empowering your engineers. Your responsibilities include defining quality expectations, establishing technical patterns, conducting code reviews with an educational approach, and fostering engineer development. Team results fall under your accountability, extending beyond individual code contributions.
Lean team structure, substantial ownership, minimal administrative overhead. You provide technical leadership; personnel management is handled separately.
What You Will Be Doing
- Developing sophisticated features that establish technical patterns for your team to follow
- Conducting pull request reviews with comprehensive, instructional feedback
- Mentoring engineers through pair programming and constructive guidance
- Organizing technical workstreams and decomposing project requirements
- Defining quality benchmarks and ensuring team adherence
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Handling personnel management (recruitment, termination, performance evaluations, career development discussions)
- Contributing to platform-level infrastructure projects
- Spending time in prolonged meeting cycles
- Designing architecture in isolation without hands-on implementation
Basic Requirements
Technical Lead Key Responsibilities
- Minimum 5 years of full-stack development experience
- Minimum 2 years in a technical leadership capacity (conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, defining team practices)
- Proven history of delivering SaaS products to production
- Practical experience integrating AI tools into development processes
- Confirmed capability in supporting engineer skill development and professional growth

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
