Role Overview

In this position, you will act as the principal architect of our pioneering learning ecosystem for your assigned school model, spanning multiple campuses. Driven by an absolute commitment to student success, you will leverage AI's vast capabilities to design hyper-personalized learning pathways tailored to each student's distinct needs, interests, and goals.

Your work will combine rigorous data analysis with direct student interaction. You will examine learning analytics in depth, extracting insights that fuel exponential progress. Yet you will not remain behind a desk—you will engage on the ground with students, understanding their experiences, obstacles, and victories firsthand. This direct knowledge will prove essential as you identify the precise motivational and pedagogical strategies needed to break through achievement barriers across every campus.

What You Will Be Doing

• Designing and iterating on an AI-powered learning ecosystem that demonstrably surpasses traditional education, validated by measurable improvements in student achievement metrics
• Interacting directly with students via virtual channels to gain insight into their learning journeys, obstacles, and accomplishments, then applying these findings to refine the learning ecosystem continuously
• Extracting actionable intelligence from learning platform data and developing high-impact academic interventions informed by AI/ML, learning science research, and motivational strategies
• Fostering a culture of rigorous experimentation and evidence-informed decision-making, utilizing data to catalyze breakthrough gains in student growth outcomes
• Collaborating with platform engineering, data science, and design teams to convert academic insights and student input into fluid product improvements

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Wrapping traditional education in an AI veneer. This is not about digitizing classroom teaching – we are reimagining learning entirely from foundational principles.
• Reviewing data from a distance. You will engage regularly with K-12 students, treating their feedback as critical input from the customers we serve.

Director Of Learning Key Responsibilities

Lead innovation in AI-driven, teacher-less education to produce outstanding student results across multiple campuses. Integrate data analytics with consistent student interaction to optimize our learning ecosystem continuously, with success measured by AP exam scores and MAP assessment growth.

Basic Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Educational Science, Learning Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or a related field
• Leadership experience in education or EdTech
• Experience applying AI technologies in an educational or professional context
• Experience designing and implementing AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning
• Strong understanding of learning science principles and data-driven educational approaches
• Proven ability to communicate complex educational and technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects

Working with Us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
