Director of Educational Strategy - 2 Hour Learning (Remote)
2 Hour Learning is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Director of Educational Strategy to lead its academic vision and drive measurable outcomes. This role is for an experienced leader who has a proven track record in shaping academic strategy, implementing change, and demonstrating expertise in the science of learning.

This innovative model leverages AI-driven tutoring, mastery-based progression, and a fundamental redesign of traditional educational frameworks to achieve exceptional student results.
What You Will Do
- Design academic structures that translate learning science into actionable guidance for curriculum development, motivation architecture, and application design.
- Conduct academic execution assessments with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams maintain alignment, accountability, and outcome delivery.
- Analyze data, conduct stakeholder interviews, and perform direct observations to produce academic ecosystem evaluations.
- Identify critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted solutions.
- Ensure strategic coherence through planning cycles, structured feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring.
- Serve as 2 Hour Learning's representative at premier forums, including keynote presentations and engagements with national education authorities.
- Champion the evidence-based learning science model and advance systemic transformation in educational thinking.
What You Will Not Do
- Engage in disconnected curriculum experiments without system-wide impact.
- Produce theoretical research detached from measurable student outcomes or operational implementation.
- Transfer performance ownership to mid-level managers or external advisors.
- Rely on institutional prestige or conceptual arguments to convince stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic framework.
- Harmonize execution across school sites.
- Raise leadership performance standards.
- Establish yourself as the authoritative public advocate for a movement anchored in rigorous scientific evidence and demonstrated impact.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, managing a team of 50+ people (including hiring, performance monitoring, coaching, and termination decisions).
- Proven experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards.
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education (e.g., personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents).
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting.
About Working With Us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position, available immediately. It requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation is $200 USD per hour, equating to $400,000 USD annually.
