Job Description
Director of Academics at Crossover
You've shaped an ambitious academic strategy and taken full ownership of its results, leading visibly, not from the sidelines. When it comes to the science of learning, you've built proven systems, delivered measurable outcomes, and earned credibility to present your work publicly. If this describes you, 2 Hour Learning is seeking its guiding academic leader.
At 2 Hour Learning, we've developed a system that enables students to learn at double speed in only two hours per day. Mastery-based progression, AI-powered tutoring, and a complete reimagining of traditional classroom design produce these results. The outcomes speak for themselves. We now need a leader who can harmonize execution across varied school environments, set a higher standard for academic excellence, and serve as the public face of a movement built on sound learning science.
This is not a role for theoretical exploration; it's an executive leadership position. You'll control the academic strategy in action, establish rigorous standards, surface implementation weaknesses, and develop high-performing teams to achieve tangible results. You'll transform our scientific principles into operational precision and champion this model to a global audience.
What You Will Be Doing
- Designing academic structures that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum design, motivational architecture, and application development.
- Conducting academic execution assessments with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain synchronized, responsible, and outcome-focused.
- Integrating data, interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem evaluations that identify the most impactful obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend concrete solutions.
- Ensuring strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone management to sustain focus on student achievement objectives.
- Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-stakes forums, from keynote presentations to consultations with Ministries of Education, influencing global perspectives on education systems.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Experimenting with standalone curriculum initiatives that lack systemic impact.
- Producing theoretical research disconnected from student performance or operational execution.
- Transferring accountability for results to mid-level managers or external advisors.
- Depending on institutional credibility or conceptual arguments to convince doubtful audiences.
Director of Academics Key Responsibilities
