What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and facilitate elite educational experiences – Construct workshops spanning math, science, philosophy, and creative writing while delivering 1-on-1 guidance to 15-20 gifted learners advancing at 5-10x standard velocity
- Identify and resolve learning barriers – Modify methodologies dynamically to assist students who have exceeded the boundaries of conventional education in discovering their intellectual strengths
- Apply AI tools for individualized learning
- Coordinate and refine – Enhance workshop frameworks alongside colleagues and measure effectiveness using both qualitative observations and quantitative data
Basic Requirements
Academic Guide key responsibilities
- Premier education background – Bachelor's degree earned from an Ivy League institution or equivalent university
- Demonstrated academic distinction – National Merit Finalist status, Olympiad medal, early college completion, or comparable accomplishment
- Recognized elite academic credential – Prestigious fellowship (Rhodes, Fulbright, NSF GRFP), membership in Mensa/Triple Nine Society, PhD degree, or university-level instructional experience
- 3 years of mentorship background – Experience coaching, mentoring, or instructing students in any setting
- Regular AI tool engagement – Self-reported daily interaction with generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
- Geographic flexibility – Readiness to relocate to or maintain in-person presence in Austin (Georgetown), TX
- Employment eligibility – Authorization to work legally in the United States without requiring sponsorship

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
