Job Overview
The Prompt Engineer at Crossing Hurdles is a remote, hourly contract role that focuses on building and refining prompts for evaluating advanced AI models. Working primarily with top AI research labs, you will design and optimize detailed prompts, document evaluation standards, and ensure quality and consistency in AI outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize prompts with multiple constraints.
- Define, document, and develop evaluation rubrics.
- Test and grade outputs from AI models.
- Support benchmarking and quality assurance initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members on evaluation standards.
Requirements
The ideal candidate holds a BS or BA degree (completed or in progress) from a reputable institution, demonstrates strong writing skills, critical thinking and the ability to work independently. Experience with ChatGPT or similar tools is required, while teaching or research experience is preferred. A desktop or laptop computer is required (Chromebooks are not supported).
Application Process
- Complete an AI-led interview (approximately 15 minutes).
- Complete a 45-minute written assessment focused on writing rubrics.
- If successful, be onboarded to the project.
