Overview

Crossing Hurdles is a recruitment firm referring top candidates to partners working with the world’s leading AI research labs building and training cutting-edge AI models. The role of Project Manager - AI & Data Projects is a part-time, remote position with a long-term commitment (6–12 months) and approximately 40 hours/week, including 2–5 calibration calls weekly.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations on multiple AI and data projects.
• Attend and document weekly business reviews and key meetings.
• Identify and resolve quality misalignments through root cause analyses.
• Collaborate with Product partners to refine project guidelines.
• Align priorities and decision-making across large, cross-functional teams.
• Proactively mitigate project roadblocks and risks.
• Advise subject matter experts on quality assurance and data annotation.
• Standardize onboarding and training processes for Gen-AI experts.
• Coordinate with vendors across multiple time zones, leading meetings with 200+ participants.
• Track project deliverables using advanced skills in Google Sheets and Excel.
• Manage large-scale annotation projects ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Adapt to evolving project requirements with agility and flexibility.

Qualifications

Must be based in the USA. BA/BS degree required; STEM background preferred. Strong experience in project management or related fields with the capability to coordinate large teams. Proficiency in data management using Excel and SQL with basic coding knowledge is essential. Leadership experience with an ability to manage large groups in fast-paced and changing environments with tight deadlines.
