About the Mathematics Specialist Role

Crossing Hurdles is a recruitment firm referring top candidates to world-leading AI research labs. The Mathematics Specialist role is a flexible, part-time, hourly contract position conducted fully remote and asynchronously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and audit submitted AI-generated data including prompts, solutions, and metadata.
  • Evaluate task quality using structured rubrics across 8–10 criteria.
  • Verify accuracy of solutions, reasoning steps, and chain-of-thoughts.
  • Assess coding problems for test case validity and solution correctness.
  • Provide concise, well-reasoned written feedback on evaluation decisions.
  • Work independently with provided tools and workflows.

Ideal Qualifications

Applicants should have a PhD or be a current PhD candidate, or hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related STEM fields. Expertise in areas such as algebra, geometry, number theory, coding, and QA is required.

Strong analytical skills, excellent written communication, and ability to work remotely are essential. Basic knowledge of Python and testing frameworks is preferred but not required.
