About Mathematics Specialist

Crossing Hurdles is a recruitment firm referring top candidates to our partners at the world’s leading AI research labs. We need Mathematics Specialists to help build and train cutting-edge AI models.

Role Overview

This position is a part-time, hourly contract remote engagement (10-20 hours per week) with flexible, asynchronous work. Training support will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Review and audit AI-generated data including prompts and answers
  • Evaluate task quality using structured rubrics covering multiple criteria
  • Verify solution accuracy and chain-of-thought consistency
  • Assess coding problems for test case validity and language consistency
  • Provide concise, well-reasoned written feedback
  • Work independently using provided tools and workflows

Ideal Qualifications

  • PhD or current PhD candidacy, or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or related fields
  • Expertise in algebra, geometry, number theory, combinatorics, probability, graph theory
  • Familiarity with coding fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, testing and QA
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent written communication
  • Basic knowledge of Python and testing frameworks preferred
